Mount Dora to Farley  -  Santa Fe
This line was supposed to bypass the 4.03% grades of Raton Pass...  The 1909 Belen Cut-Off obviated the need for the line. Santa Fe was having trouble driving bridges between Farley & Colmor (could not hit bearing with 80 Ft. timber piles), then abandoned  from Felt, OK to Farley in 1942 in a scrap drive and due a lack of local traffic.  Interestingly, Santa Fe had to use its line from from Clifton House to Des Moines and then trackage rights over the Colorado & Southern (now BNSF) to reach the isolated line from Mount Dora to Farley.  The ATSF plan was to build from Boise City, OK, to Clayton, NM, then trackage rights on the C&S to Mount Dora, then this line from Mount Dora through Farley to Colmor on the ATSF mainline.
Thanks to Charlie Tucker for the pictures and information on this line.
